VTP Mode Server
Use
VTP Mode Server allows the switch to make changes to the VLAN database as well as propagate changes to other switches. This is the default mode for VTP
Syntax
Switch(config)#vtp mode server
Example
In the below example we will confirm that the switch is a VTP server and we will add a VLAN to it.
SW1(config)#vtp mode server Device mode already VTP SERVER. SW1(config)#vlan 555 SW1(config-vlan)#exit
