CCNA 1 v6.0 Introduction to Networks:
This course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks. The principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations are introduced to provide a foundation for the curriculum. By the end of the course, students will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.
Students who complete Introduction to Networks will be able to perform the following functions:
- Explain network technologies.
- Explain how devices access local and remote network resources.
- Implement basic network connectivity between devices.
- Design an IP addressing scheme to provide network connectivity for a small to medium-sized business network.
- Describe router hardware.
- Explain how switching operates in a small to medium-sized business network.
- Configure monitoring tools available for small to medium-sized business networks.
- Configure initial settings on a network device.

4. Ensure that more secure version of SSH will be used.
5. Configure the vty lines to authenticate logins against the local user database.
6. Configure the vty lines to only accept connections over SSH.
Part 3: Configure Network Infrastructure Settings (VLANs, Trunking, EtherChannel)
1. Step 1: Configure VLANs and Trunking.
2. Step 2: Configure Etherchannel.
a. On S1, configure the port that is connected to the host with static access mode in VLAN 2.
b. On S2, configure the port that is connected to the host with static access mode in VLAN 3.
c. Configure port security on the S1 and S2 active access ports to accept only three learned MAC addresses.
d. Assign all unused switch ports to VLAN 5 on both switches and shut down the ports.
e. Configure a description on the unused ports that is relevant to their status.
Part 4: Configure Host Support
4. Step 1: Configure Default Routing on R1
a. Configure an IPv4 default route that uses the Lo0 interface as the exit interface.
b. Configure an IPv6 default route that uses the Lo0 interface as the exit interface.
c. Configure static route on R1 and R2 to enable communication from PCs to loopback0 and servers
5. Step 2: Configure IPv4 DHCP for VLAN 2
a. On R1, create a DHCP pool called YourFirstName-P1 that consists of the last 10 host addresses in the VLAN 2 subnet only.
b. Configure the correct default gateway address in the pool.
c. Configure the domain name of YourFirstNameP1.net.
6. Step 3: Configure IPv4 DHCP for VLAN 3
a. On R1, create a DHCP pool called YourLastName-P2 that consists of the last 10 host addresses in the VLAN 3 subnet only.
b. Configure the correct default gateway address in the pool.
c. Configure the domain name of YourLastNameP2.net.
7. Step 4: Configure host computers.
a. Configure the host computers to use DHCP for IPv4 addressing.
b. Statically assign the IPv6 GUA and default gateway addresses using the values in the Addressing Table.

the newest CCNA is CCNA 1 or CCNA 4? or do I need to study all from 1-4?
The newest version of the CCNA certification is a single exam, referred to as the CCNA 200-301 exam. It covers a broad range of networking topics, including network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, and automation and programmability.
The CCNA 200-301 exam replaces the previous CCNA 1-4 courses and exams. Therefore, you do not need to study all the CCNA 1-4 courses separately to earn the CCNA certification.
However, studying the CCNA 1-4 courses can still be beneficial for gaining a deeper understanding of the concepts and technologies covered in the CCNA 200-301 exam. It can also help to build a strong foundation of networking knowledge before diving into more advanced topics.
So, while studying the CCNA 1-4 courses is not required to earn the CCNA certification, it can still be a valuable part of your preparation for the exam.
